vRoam Works!
Recently I reported on a new mobile roaming that has been introduced by vRoam. During my recent trip to New Zealand I tried it out and it is fantastic.
The main reason why – it is damn easy to set it up. At Sydney airport just before I boarded my flight I diverted my calls to a number provided by vRoam. On arrival in New Zealand I changed my SIM card with one provided by vRoam. Just to double check I immediately phoned home…that worked and I asked the home front to call me and again no problems.
In New Zealand I was connected to the Vodafone service and I got a text message indicating that I could set up a mailbox. As that hadn’t worked at any of my previous overseas trips I didn’t bother. But surprise - people phoning my Australian number left messages and I could retrieve them, a nice bonus.
This all on top of significant savings as I didn’t have to pay for the high roaming rates which are normally charged by the mobile operator back home.
So here is a plug for you vRoam (vroam.com.au)
